Thank you for your interest in the Marine Science Magnet High School!
MSMHS will be accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year
from October 1, 2020 through January 8, 2021.

Apply to MSMHS at

MSMHS begins accepting student applications for the 2021-2022 school year on October 1, 2020. Our application period is October 1, 2020 through January 8, 2021. Acceptance is determined through a random electronic lottery process. There are no academic prerequisites for applying to MSMHS: students who are residents of Connecticut at the time of application and are currently enrolled in the 8th grade at the time of applying are eligible to submit an application for the MSMHS freshman class. A small number of sophomore seats for the 2021-2022 school year may be available.  

Our Open Houses will be virtual this year and are scheduled for: 
Thursday, November 19th - 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, December 10th - 6:30 p.m
We encourage interested families to attend!

Southeastern Connecticut Magnet Schools are committed to serving military families and their children.  If slots are available, Marine Science Magnet High School may assist highly mobile families who transfer to the region following the regular application period.  If you are moving to the area or receive transfer orders to the Connecticut Submarine Base or the Coast Guard Academy and are interested in learning more about our school, please call 860-446-9380.
